It may seem incredible, but it is true, there is a legendary Bultaco Streaker for sale in Japan, and it is impeccable, seeing is believing. How did a Streaker come to Japan?
We all know the Bultaco Streaker, the sports naked that all of us who comb gray hair dreamed of at the end of the 70s.
Manufactured in Barcelona by the defunct brand created by Francisco Javier Bultó, it is a collector’s item due to its rarity and for what it means for lovers of Spanish motorcycles and Bultaco. And it is that only 750 units were manufactured.
Let’s remember that the Bultaco Streaker was marketed in 1977 in black with a gold chassis and wheels, with a large chrome exhaust pipe; the white version would arrive later and would be made of fibers and a more modern design.
Its air-cooled single-cylinder 2T cycle engine was manufactured in 74 and 125 displacements -it had 118 cc-, so it was basically the same bike, but with a different cylinder-piston.
The Bultaco Streaker for sale in Japan is a 125 from the first series, with John Player colours, a really attractive and special combination. It offers 14 CV for a weight of 85 kg.
It is in impeccable condition, completely original -except for the turn signals-, even with the chrome exhaust, the first thing that carbon chips replaced.
It is so new that it even keeps the original user manual and in perfect condition. And the steel tubular chassis or the 18” alloy wheels are in impeccable condition with gold paint. Even the seat appears to be new.
The 220 mm front and rear brake discs with Recmo calipers, the circular headlight or the speedometer, are also kept as standard and like new. A marvel.
The Streaker is for sale online at the RMD Motors online store, which is physically located in Tsukuba, Japan. The same trade cites that it is the first Streaker that they see for sale in the country of the Rising Sun… A true rarity.
If you want to know the price you should ask, because it is not advertised, although we assume that it must be quite high…
By the way, if you take a look at RMD Motors you will be amazed by the stuff they have for sale, like a genuine Proton KR V5, which belonged to Kenny Roberts, although they sell it without an engine…
