Only 46% of Spaniards who take the theoretical driving test pass on the first try, according to a 2017 study carried out by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT). Driving schools always provide platforms to practice, but there are many other free applications that you can use if you want to get your license on your own.

Those who take the theoretical exams to obtain their driving license must answer a total of 20 multiple choice questions and, at most, they can fail three to pass. Although there are people who don’t find it difficult, nerves and some convoluted questions can play tricks. For this reason, the more tests they do, the more prepared they will be.

Sometimes, the platforms that driving schools offer are not enough and it is advisable to use other alternatives. The best known is AEOL Cloud and, in this article, we talk about it and others in more detail, so that you have several options to choose from.

AEOL Cloud

The AEOL Cloud service has a website from which you can access ‘Free Tests’. The option is located below the space enabled to log in. As expected, the free version is more limited than the paid version that driving schools usually offer.

They also have an app available for iOS and Android. However, you can only enter the tests through the credentials provided by the driving schools, since they do not give access to the free tests.

TodoTest

Using TodoTest, students can practice with mock exams, check their mistakes, and look at their statistics. The great advantage is that, despite being free, it does not include ads and allows its use without Internet access.

The application constantly reviews your data to update it according to the news and new questions from the DGT. Therefore, it has very good ratings in both the Play Store and the App Store.

Mobile Driving School

In total, they boast of having more than 5,000 questions asked in the official DGT tests. In addition, they offer simulations, with limited time, that allow the user to test themselves before taking the real exam.

A feature that differentiates AutoEscuela Móvil from other similar apps is that they have an algorithm. This analyzes the most difficult questions for the student, so that they can practice them more in their new attempts.

TestVial

The design of the website is not very updated, but they report on the questions in which those who took the exam in 2023 failed the most and provide some of the latest tests that have been shared by the DGT.

Through TestVial, they offer the theoretical teaching guide, useful study techniques, the criteria that are taken into account and advice and manuals for practical classes.
