Continuing with its policy of offering two versions taking the same base as a starting point, the Pesaro brand presented in Milan a couple of quarter-litre models, the Benelli BKX 250 and BKX 250S.
In any case and following the path marked out by the Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 500, the new BKX 250 are characterized by their fresh design, strongly marked by their front light unit.
Developed in the heart of the Benelli Style Center in Pesaro, these two new offerings feature a similar design pattern, one focused on trail-touring and the other a mix of naked-scrambler. Its headlight, entirely made of LEDs, has two DRL beams with an original and modern design, shared with its adventurous “sister” in the range.
Also the heart of the BKX 250 is the same for both; a liquid-cooled 250cc four-stroke single-cylinder already known from other models of the brand. Although in this case both the cooling system and the intake and exhaust have been updated. The power is 25.8 hp at 9,250 rpm and the torque reaches 21 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
The distribution has a double overhead camshaft and 4 valves, it uses electronic injection, and a 6-speed gearbox.
The big difference between the two models is concentrated in the measurements of their tires.
Obviously the Benelli BKX 250 and BKX 250S use a traditional tubular steel frame and they only differ in the combination of the rolling stock since the suspensions are also shared. At the front they use an inverted fork with 41 mm bars, while the rear is supported by a swingarm and a progressive monoshock with adjustable spring preload.
The separation between the BKX 250 and the BKX 250S materializes in 17″ aluminum alloy wheels in the S version, in contrast to the spoked rims of the trail, 19” at the front and 17” at the rear.
The braking system relies on a single 280mm floating disc with a four-piston caliper at the front, aided by a 240mm disc at the rear.
The fuel tank has a capacity of 13.5 liters in both models and the shared instrument panel is a simple LCD that also has a USB socket.
The seat of the BKX 250 is raised 835mm and the case of the naked stays at just 800mm.
