After seven generations on the market, the BMW 3 Series has built a reputation that has earned it to be one of the most popular cars in Spain. Whether new or used, sales of the BMW sedan remain strong in any market. But how much does the second-hand BMW 3 Series cost?
In this article we are going to analyze how much the Series 3 is sold for in the second-hand market, as well as the approximate price of its most outstanding versions. The most outstanding second-hand models of the BMW 3 Series
Below I show you which are the most outstanding models of the second-hand BMW 3 Series and we analyze what their prices are in the second-hand vehicle market:
BMW 3 Series 320 second hand
The first of these is the BMW 320i. It is a variant that, in the current generation, is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with 184 hp. It is also in diesel, the 320d, which bets on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 190 hp. Both are offered exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission and you can choose between rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
In the specific case of the current generation of the 3 Series, prices for the second-hand gasoline 320i version start at 32,000 euros. On the other hand, the BMW 320d with diesel mechanics can be found from about 30,000 euros, approximately, but with a slightly higher mileage.
BMW 3 Series Touring second hand
Let’s go with the family version, the BMW 3 Series Touring. Also in the current generation, we find a vehicle that is 4.7 meters long, with an interior for five passengers and a 500-liter trunk that can increase its capacity to 1,510 liters by folding down the rear seat backrests.
Both the engines and the gearboxes and drive systems are common to the saloon version. However, prices vary slightly. It will be necessary to go, at least, up to 30,000 euros if you want a second-hand Series 3 Touring of the latest generation. This in diesel, while with a gasoline engine you have to save something more, from about 42,000 euros.
BMW 3 Series GT second hand
The third popular option within the range is the so-called BMW 3 Series GT. This version is no longer available within the seventh generation of the 3 Series, but was highly demanded in the previous model. It is a five-door variant of the Berlina, with more cargo space and more livable rear seats.
The 3 Series GT was available with diesel and petrol engines with outputs between 143 and 326 hp. There were also manual or automatic variants, as well as rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configurations.
Since the GT model was launched in 2013, you have to dig a little deeper in the second-hand market to find available units. Being an older car, prices start from about 12,000 euros in the diesel version, and from about 16,000 for the gasoline engine variants.
Buy second-hand BMW 3 Series

Evaluate very well the use that you are going to make of the car and the annual mileage that you usually travel, to choose the engine that best suits your needs.

Once this is done, you should look for a unit that is in good condition, that is up to date on maintenance, that does not show damage or signs of marked wear and tear, and that has no loads of any kind. You can request a certificate from the General Directorate of Traffic that will show you most of this relevant data.
