Since Netflix landed in Spain in 2015, there have been many platforms that have been coming to our country. Today, the number of options is very high and the only way to access all of them is by sharing accounts, a method that Netflix has uploaded and that will probably be adopted by the rest of the OTTs sooner or later. If we want to access these platforms to see their content, can we do it for free using a trial period?

There are many platforms of all kinds that offer users the possibility of trying their services for 7, 15 or 30 days completely free of charge so that they can assess whether they really deserve to pay for what they offer. If we talk about streaming video platforms, things are very varied.

  • Netflix. When Netflix began its international expansion, it offered a free trial period so that users interested in contracting its services could see first-hand both the content available, as well as the quality of reproduction and the user interface. However, for several years, this has not been an option, so if we want to access the platform, we will have to start with the cheapest plan, the one with ads that costs 5.99 euros and offers FullHD resolution.

  • HBO Max. The platform HBO MaxUnlike Netflix, it only offers a plan to be able to access all the content it offers us. But, like Netflix, it also does not offer us the possibility of accessing all its content during the free trial period. The monthly subscription to HBO Max is 8.99 euros.

  • Disney+. The platform that owns the rights to Marvel and Star Wars does not offer us the possibility of accessing it for free for a certain time either. Like HBO Max, Disney+ It also offers us a single contracting modality. In addition, it allows us to contract a full year of subscription paying only 10. The price of the monthly subscription is 8.99 euros.

  • Amazon Prime Video. Amazon’s streaming video platform offers us a 30-day trial period to access its entire catalog. To access Amazon Prime Video, we must open an account and contract the Prime service, a service that, in addition to offering free next-day shipping, also allows us to access a wide and varied number of songs and books. If we want to continue accessing the content, we will have to pay the 4.99 euros that the monthly subscription to Prime costs.

  • AppleTV+. Apple TV+ also allows us to access the entire catalog available on the platform during a 7-day trial period. Also, if we buy an iPhone, Apple TV or iPad, we can access the platform for 3 months completely free of charge. The monthly price of this streaming video platform is 6.99 euros.

  • DAZN. The streaming platform that allows us to access La Liga and Formula 1, among others, does not offer us a free trial plan. The cheapest, costs 9.99 euros and does not allow us to access La Liga or F1. The essential plan DAZN For 18.99 euros it gives us access to F1 and the MotoGP World Championship. If we also want to access football, the monthly price we must pay is 29.99 euros.

  • Filmin. This Spanish OTT does not offer us a free trial period to access its content and the only contracting modality is priced at 7.99 euros per month or 84 euros per year if we contract 12 months of subscription.
