At the MWC 2022 in Barcelona, the only brand present was Fisker. Henrik Fisker, his CEO, was in person to present his new model, the Fisker Ocean. It is an electric SUV that announces a range of between 402 and 563 kilometers.

This SUV has been designed in California, but will be manufactured in Graz (Austria). Right in the same Magna plant where the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class is still produced by hand today.

Henrik Fisker launches his third solo venture into the automotive world with the Fisker Ocean electric SUV.

Fisker will market the Ocean in Europe with a fee price starting at €41,000. According to Henrik Fisker himself, this SUV will hit the market in 2023. A model that seeks to compete face to face with other electric SUVs such as Audi Q6 e-tron, BMW iX3 and Porsche Macan.

In its cabin, made with upholstery derived from recycled plastic, it has two screens, a 9.8” horizontal one as an instrument panel, and a 16” central one in a vertical layout. This second largest screen has a most curious functionality, with the press of a button we can change its layout from vertical to horizontal.

In short

Henrik Fisker became famous for designing the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, one of the most beautiful sports cars of recent decades.

Henrik Fisker is an automobile designer who became world famous for creating two of the most beautiful modern cars ever: the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Two very elegant sports cars with a timeless body line that has already made them classic collectors’ items today.

Fisker returns after his first Fisker Coachbuild project launched in the distant 2005. Back then he bodied the Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG and the BMW M6 with their own bodies. In its second industrial stage as Fisker Automotive, it launched an extended-range electric car, the Karma. A project that was underway between 2007 and 2014. We hope that the saying will be fulfilled: “third time lucky”.
