In our country, we find many aids, such as the digital voucher with which we get 20 euros a month to pay for the Internet. Well, if unfortunately you are without work, but you have contributed for at least 3 months, you will be able to request the help of 480 euros from the Government of Spain.
To make it easier for you, we are going to see what the requirements of this 480-euro subsidy are and, above all, how to apply. So we’ll see what to do. We remember that this benefit previously was 463.21 euros in 2022, but in 2023, it has risen almost 20 euros more to help Spanish families.
Who can request the benefit of 480 euros
To be able to receive this aid from the government, it is necessary to meet a series of requirements. Especially, that the applicants have not contributed long enough to collect unemployment. For this reason, it is only required that you have worked for at least 3 months. These are the other requirements that the SEPE asks for:
- Being unemployed and registered as a job seeker.
- The demand for employment must be maintained until the aid is received.
- Have contributed for unemployment for at least 3 months, in the event that they have family responsibilities. Or, at least, six months if they do not have them, and not reach 360 listed days. If you have 360 days, you already have to request the contributory benefit.
- Not receive income of any kind greater than 75% of the Minimum Interprofessional Salary (SMI). In this case, without counting the proportional part of two extraordinary payments. Full or gross income is taken into account.
The number of months that this aid of 480 euros can be received will depend on the number of months that they have contributed and if they have dependent relatives or not. It can go from 5 months to 21 months. Although, in different cases, it can be extended up to six more months.
Also, keep in mind that, as explained by Social Security, this subsidy of 480 euros per month can be made compatible for those people over 52 who have found work. Although, they have to be hired full-time, indefinitely or temporarily (with a contract duration of more than three months).
