February is, for many, the month of love. And this is demonstrated by Google with its update to its operating system, telling you what is the best thing you can see this week to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Devices with Google TV have received a Cupid selection for 2024. Google editors have made a selection of movies and series that you should watch this year in February. These are, according to Google, the essential ones to watch on Valentine’s Day if you are looking for a marathon of love stories.
Presented as the “Cupid’s Selection 2024”, Google has selected a series of categories with their corresponding chosen ones. What is the favorite romantic comedy, the best complicated love story, the best favorite kiss… In addition, beyond the selection made there are other recommendations with which we can get carried away and that will allow us to make each day of February the Day of lovers

Favorite Kiss – Magic Mike’s Last Dance
The film can be seen on HBO Max and is a musical drama of less than two hours released in 2023. Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek are the protagonists of a film about dance that works as a sequel to Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL. For many, it is considered a disappointment and a disappointing film, but you can give it a chance if you follow Google’s recommendations and are interested in a film about dance and music that is not suitable for minors.
Favorite Dramón – A place to fight for

It is not a movie but a miniseries and it recently arrived on Disney+, becoming one of the essentials of 2023. If you want a marathon, six episodes of almost an hour of this biopic that follows the life of the designer after whom it is named. A journey through the 40s, 50s and 60s in a miniseries that tells the story of a man who broke with traditions to demonstrate his talent and became one of the best of all time.
Favorite Romance – Elementary
For Google, the favorite romance is that of an animated movie. Specifically, Elementary. A seemingly impossible love story. The version of Romeo and Juliet in cartoon format that Pixar launched just a few months ago. We move to Element City where Candela, a young girl of fire, lives. Candela is witty, full of character and full of ambitions. And she will meet Nilo, a water boy. There shouldn’t even be a friendship between them but together they will have to save Candela’s family legacy and they will have to face her fears to be able to work as a team. An entertaining film but far from the usual Pixar quality, a romance with a good soundtrack and a good idea but whose plot is much simpler than what the studio has accustomed us to. Still, a good option to enjoy with the family.
Favorite Couple – Red, White and Blue Blood
For Google, the favorite couple for this February is Alex and Henry. They are the protagonists of the romantic comedy “Red, White and Blue Blood.” A love comedy between the son of the first female president of the United States and a British prince. Both will have to try to get along after a public altercation and must avoid a diplomatic crisis. But knowing and meeting each other for a longer time will make your perception of each other different. It is not an original romantic comedy that skips all the clichés (it has them, despite everything) but it is entertaining, fun, fast, easy to watch and with current themes and the focus on a romance in public spheres.

It was one of the movies of 2023 and is one of the ones that Google chooses for you to see on Valentine’s Day. Barbie is a fun feature film, full of messages and a must-have for these days. It takes us to the wonderful world of Barbieland where the dolls live in perfect harmony until asking themselves many questions will make the idyllic world change.

Rye Lane is, for Google, the favorite romantic comedy for this February. A romantic comedy that we can see on Disney+ and starring Vivian Oparah and David Jonsson. Two young people who have experienced complicated breakups that have made them stop believing in relationships and love. But they will meet and connect on a busy day and both will help each other forget those stormy exes and believe again.
Favorite Complicated Love Story – Saltburn
It has been one of the hits of 2024 since its premiere at the end of the year on Amazon Prime Video and “Saltburn” is one of the most viewed films this year. According to Google, the best favorite complicated love story. Wrapped in controversy and with critics divided, Saltburn is the story of an Oxford student who will spend a summer on the large family estate of the aristocratic Felix Catton, with a life far removed from what he knows.
Favorite dating show – Fboy Island Spain
Reality shows are also streaming and on HBO Max we can see FBOY Island Spain. A program where three women will look for their ideal partner on a paradise island. According to their own description, “three girls fed up with lying hotties are looking for handsome men with serious intentions” and in this program they will try to find them.
Favorite love triangle – Zorro
It has just been released but for Google it is already one of the best. If you are looking for a series, “Zorro” is the one chosen for Google’s favorite love triangle. Zorro is a series available on Amazon Prime Video since January 25 and starring Miguel Bernardeu. Diego de la Vega has returned to California to avenge the murder of his father and has been chosen as Zorro, becoming the hero of California and earning the affection of the people.
Other movies
As we say, Google has also added other essential categories and movies. A selection with romantic comedies where we will find Pretty Woman or The Bright Side of Things, for example.
