No matter how spectacular and raw a model can be, Hennessey will always be willing to give it a twist to take it to an even more extreme level. Periodically we see examples of this and the latest to arrive is the Hennessey Venom 1200 Mustang GT500.

And it is that the preparer, far from choosing to “get his hands on” the normal Ford Mustang, has opted for its wildest version, the Shelby GT500 which, seen now in perspective, seems even a moderate car compared to the result of his work .

As standard, the Shelby mounts a 5.2 V8 engine that develops 771 horsepower and 847 Nm of maximum torque, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and do the quarter mile in just 11. They are Spectacular figures that, however, come to nothing when compared to those of the Venom.

Hennessey has tweaked the block by installing a 3.8-litre supercharger, a high-flow induction system, new injectors and, to boot, has recalibrated the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The result is that the V8 engine now develops 1,221 hp and 1,223 Nm of torque, which should result in excellent performance… although the coach has not officially revealed what they are, so we will have to wait for someone to take the plunge. glove and can try it first hand.

Only a print run of 66 units of the Hennessey Venom 1200 Mustang GT500 will be produced and, in addition, the price of the modifications has been revealed: 59,950 euros, to which must be added that the base Shelby GT500 already costs $79,420.

In addition, the firm has announced that the combination of colors in white, black and red that the copy of the photographs wears is inspired by the Ford GT40 that won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1966 and that it is a decoration that costs 4,950 dollars.
