In this way, we can find the best deal on the web in just a couple of clicks. A very useful tool for that is Google Lens and it is precisely what we are going to talk about in this publication.
Are you one of those who searches on different websites to find the best offer for a product? If you do it manually, it is likely that you will only stick to the ecommerce that everyone knows, such as Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, Miravia and little else. However, if you want to carry out your comparative search in a big way, it is best to use specialized tools.
Google shows the same product when we search for something through its search engine. But what happens when you don’t know the exact name of a device or you’re looking for a similar item, but not necessarily something specific? With Google Lens, we will save ourselves endless searches and find exactly what we want with a simple photo.
Use Google Lens for your online purchases
The first step if you want to buy a product at the best price is to know what you are looking for. Maybe you want to check that the offer on Amazon is the best option or you are browsing the Internet and find some shoes that you like and want to know how much you can get them for.
Whatever your case, all you have to do is hold down the image within Google Chrome until a menu appears with several actions. The option that interests you is “Search image with Google” on iOS or “Search image with Lens” on Android.
By doing so, the browser will display all the options it has found on the Internet with their price in the upper left corner of the images. Normally, Google will show the different websites where you can find the article at the bottom. We will only have to slide our finger up from the bottom of the screen to see in large detail what the search engine has found. To find the best price, you just have to scroll and compare.
If you have seen the product you want to buy in an app other than Google Chrome, you can take a screenshot or download the photo. Next, you must open Lens and access the mobile gallery to show the app the image. This also works if you take a snapshot yourself.
From the computer, there is a similar option. In this case, Chrome shows it as “Search image with Google.” If you need to look for a good deal on that pretty dress, you can leave the cursor over the image and right-click the mouse. You will only have to select the mentioned option and look for the best price of what appears.
Zara clothing on AliExpress
The publication of a girl on X (@Kim_Khandashisa) has gone viral for talking about a very interesting “life hack” that is quite similar to the Google Lens function. She claims that there are Zara clothes that can be found cheaper on AliExpress and even shows a couple of examples.
The AliExpress app also has its own image search engine for the same or similar items. In the same way as with Google Lens, you can take a screenshot of some pants that you have seen in the Zara application and find them on the Chinese ecommerce platform. According to X’s post, some providers are the same.
