To request a vote by mail electronically, you must prove your identity by means of an electronic signature, using the natural person certificates recognized by the Ministry of Industry or the electronic DNI (DNI-e). You can also do it at any Post Office in the country. However, it is important that you take into account that the request must be made personally by each voter, except in special cases in which an illness or disability -accredited by official medical certification- prevents him from personally formulating the request. In these cases, another authorized person may submit the request on his behalf.

When are they shipped?
Once Correos receives the applications, it will deliver them to the Provincial Delegations of the Electoral Census Office, which will send the applicants, as of May 8, the necessary documentation so that they can vote by mail. Voters who have requested to vote in this way should take into account that the period for depositing votes by correspondence will end on May 24, 2023.
It is essential to bear in mind that the period for depositing votes by correspondence is limited and, therefore, it is advisable not to leave the request until the last moment. In addition, it must be taken into account that, although the term ends on May 24, it is possible that the vote by mail takes several days to reach the corresponding polling station, so it is important to request and send it well in advance.
