At the beginning of the year, finally, the Kodi 20 Nexus version was released. However, now an updated version has arrived with a series of new features and improvements that you cannot miss. In this way, you can take better advantage of this multimedia player for Smart TV, computers or mobile phones.

With the Kodi 20.1 Nexus version, not only are a number of fixes added to the software, but it also comes with new features. What is clear is that, once again, this multimedia player and content manager is useful for many things. And now it’s even better with this new update. These are the news!

What’s New Kodi 20.1 Nexus

This version of the well-known multimedia player that was launched at the beginning of the year, came under the name of Nexus. Well, now it has been updated to version 20.1 and not only do we find that some of the errors that users criticized have been corrected, but it also comes with a series of important improvements that many will like.

This update was already notified to us by the developers of the player via Github last week. Although, it was not until today when they made it official that this update to version 20.1 was released for their program. But what are the news? There are many changes, but, first, let’s see the most substantial:

  • RetroPlayer and the Savestate Manager have many changes: fixes have been applied to improve usability.
  • Sound improvements on Android devices.

  • They have been able to put an end to failures with Audiotrack.
  • Also fixed issues with subtitles

Although, this is only the beginning of all the news that this update patch brings. However, for the most part, we are facing improvements or corrections of the Nexus version of Kodi. For example, with this new software update, as we can see in the gear guide that they are publishing on Github, the bug with which some of the videos that were played, with smaller dimensions, caused problems in the systems, has been fixed once and for all. This, in turn, meant that AMD systems had to resort to software decoding instead of using DXVA.

Within DVDs, we can also find that developers have been able to get rid of the failure to play DVD folder structures through network sources, such as SMB, NFC or HTTP, among other sources.

In addition to all this, the version of Python that Nexus had has been updated. Now, it has been moved to version 3.11.2. And all with the aim of being able to solve the previous problem with the binary module. This also fixes Android crashes that occurred when any plugin installed on the device used this particular common Python module.

How is it updated? From the Kodi website they make it clear that the update, in principle, has to be something automatic. Of course, for it to be carried out by itself you need to have Kodi 20 Nexus on the device on which this multimedia player is used.
