All O2 fiber and mobile customers have a great reason to celebrate: the operator has debuted the new cloud storage service O2 Cloud and launched it with a premium gift. Thus, if you have a fiber contract and mobile line, you can now access 500 GB free in the cloud. We have tested it and we confirm it, it is now available!

That O2 continues on its path of growing solidly in the market and making its customers increasingly happy is something that it can be said that they are achieving without obstacles. With the launch of their cloud storage platform, with which they compete with services such as Google Drive, they take a step forward to have a greater presence in the daily lives of users. And giving away 500 GB for the face is something that has to be celebrated in style.

500 GB per line

This is the best of all: the 500 GB is contributed with each of the mobile lines that are part of one of the company’s fiber contracts. Therefore, if you have two lines, you will have 500 GB independent in each of them. In this way they ensure that each of the users who use their services can experience the advantages of cloud storage.

You can enter the cloud storage system O2 Cloud from their official website, where you already have the opportunity to log in with your user data. The service has an application for Android and iOS so that you can manage your data at any time and place.

We tested it to show you

When you enter your email address and password, O2 will do an email verification to ensure that it is you who is starting the service. After this step you will find the O2 Cloud interface, which, as you can see in the screenshot we have taken, maintains the same style as most cloud storage environments. From the menu on the left you can navigate between your folders and the different types of content that you have started saving.

You don’t have to worry about limitations, since O2 Cloud allows you to save everything you need, from photos to documents, music, videos or whatever you want. From your computer, all you have to do is drag the files and take them to the cloud interface so that they can be uploaded and saved so that you always have them available.

In your profile you can see that each of the file types has its own section, such as Music or Documents, and that you also have quick access to your folders or photo albums that you have created. The objective is that all your files stored in the cloud are well organized and that you can access them with the maximum ease. The interface will also indicate the space that you have already consumed of the 500 GB.

What happens if you have unsubscribed from the O2 fiber and mobile service? In this case, the operator will provide you with a period of 30 days during which you will have maximum freedom to download everything in your cloud account. Once those 30 days have passed, the company will keep the files for an additional 60 days in case there is a claim against them. But after that they will disappear without remedy. Therefore, it will be better to copy them to another cloud system before the grace period passes.

As you will appreciate when you are using the cloud storage platform, and as you could imagine, it uses the same system as Movistar’s own cloud. That ensures you know that your files will be safe.
