The QJMotor 600RR is not a new model, since it was born a couple of years ago, practically coinciding with the start-up of the Chinese factory that belongs to the Qianjiang Group, the same as Benelli, KSR or Keeway.
The 600RR used the Benelli TNT600 chassis and engine, and the 2023 version still uses this base, albeit revised for higher performance.
In other words, the chassis is a mixed tubular and mounts a double-arm swingarm with a shock absorber anchored to it on the right side without linkages, a solution similar to that of Kawasaki with its Versys 650 and previous ER-6n. Up front is an inverted fork with no adjustments. They are both KYBs.
The front brakes are fitted with 4-piston radial-mount Brembo calipers with dual-channel ABS.
The engine is the four-cylinder original Benelli TNT600, but revised (it mounts a different exhaust and possibly there are other internal changes) passing the power from 82 to 88 hp at 11,500 rpm. A power lower than that of the CBR650R (95 hp) and higher than that of the R7 (74 hp), its most direct rivals.
New aesthetics… and carbon spoilers
But where the changes are truly appreciated is in its aesthetics. A new bodywork, somewhat reminiscent of the Ducati Panigale, now features a pair of carbon ‘winglets’ that, according to QJMotor, generate 6kg of load on the front end at 150km/h.
The entire fairing, screen and tail assembly are of a new design, with the latter somewhat higher, but with a 10 mm lower seat.
The instrumentation is by means of a 5” TFT screen, which includes the information on the driving modes and is connectable with the mobile via Bluetooth. The bike also has traction control. The headlights are Full Led.
The tank is also new and goes from 16 to 18 liters of capacity.
Surely the least sporty point is its weight, which is 213 kg declared in running order, despite having been reduced by 2 kg compared to the previous version. A figure above the 208 kg of the Honda and especially the 188 kg of the Yamaha.
It is already on sale in China, with a price of around €6,500 to change, very cheap considering the €9,300-9,400 that the Honda and Yamaha cost here.
Will this QJMotor 600RR 2023 arrive in Europe? It is not disposable.
