Almost 120,000 hybrid Seat and Cupra units will go through the workshop in the coming weeks. Seat recalls the León and Tarraco and Cupra models to the León e-Hybrid and Formentor e-Hybrid for a defect in a fuse of the propulsion system.
“During its exhaustive inspections, Volkswagen has discovered that a fuse in the propulsion system of some plug-in hybrid vehicles may have defects in specific cases,” Seat sources inform autobild.es.
“In rare cases, it would be possible for this fuse to malfunction if a power surge occurs,” they add. To solve the problem, the affected units will go through the workshop where an insulating mat will be installed as a precautionary measure.
Affected: Seat León and Tarraco; Cupra Leon and Formentor
The recall affects a total of 118,000 units worldwide. The affected models are the plug-in hybrid versions of the Seat León, Seat Tarraco, Cupra León and Cupra Formentor models.
“All affected owners of the SEAT Leon and Tarraco models will be informed and contacted to go to the workshops,” says the manufacturer.
In the Seat and Cupra brands, 27,149 vehicles are affected by the measure. In Spain there are a total of 1,172 affected units of both brands.
