The time has come for Simyo customers to receive what was undoubtedly the novelty they had been waiting for the longest. The operator makes the leap to 5G and will be active for contract and prepaid customers from 2024.

New year, new mobile networks. 2024 is going to be a year of changes for Simyo and, after recently receiving VoLTE and VoWiFi, it will soon have compatibility with 5G supplied by Orange.

5G finally arrives at Simyo

Simyo is one of the operators that listens best to its customers and they have been insistently asking for the arrival of the fifth generation of mobile networks for some time. The wait has been long, but we finally have good news about it.

Customers of the orange company are already receiving emails that anticipate what is to come, something that at the moment has not yet been officially communicated. The email received says like this:

Today we are on a high, because we can finally share with you the number one improvement, the most anticipated… 5G is coming!

At the end of January, we deployed 5G!

After a long time of work and effort, there is very little left to launch the most anticipated improvement. You will be able to browse at full speed with the 5G network and improve your coverage thanks to this service starting at the end of January.

In this way, there are only a little more than two months left to receive the leap in quality in mobile navigation that some customers who depend on the Orange network were waiting for so much and could not stop seeing how their orange neighbors received news such as the arrival of 5G+ while they remained anchored in 4G+ at most.

At the moment without 5G+

Using the Orange network, we could have expected them to provide 5G SA service, known commercially as 5G+, but for now this will not be the case. Orange has decided to do the same as Movistar with O2 and save the best 5G for the premium customers of the main brand, leaving secondary customers with only 5G NSA, as Orange also did a few months ago with Jazztel.

What we can already know is what the 5G browsing speed will be in Simyo. This data has been hanging for quite some time. on the operator’s websitewhich made us suspect that this novelty would arrive sooner.

In this way, with the data in hand and if nothing changes and 5G+ is finally implemented, the download speed would be up to 1,600 Mbps, without a doubt a leap in quality with the 350 Mbps that 4G+ currently provides for customers of Simyo. As for the upload, it will go up from the current 150 Mbps to about 200 Mbps.
