Despite Movistar Plus+ having high-level commentators, you may prefer to be the one who decides which audio you are going to choose to watch your favorite match. This option has been in Telefónica decoders for a while, but through the mobile application or the web browser it was not available. Until now
Now, if you’re a Movistar Plus+ customer and you use the official app or the web version of its service, you’ll also be able to choose from a selection of alternative audio, including several radio stations that will narrate the game in sync with the image you’re watching.
Choose your own audio in Movistar Plus+
Movistar’s commitment to football is a hallmark of its convergent rates with television packages, so it is of great help that from “El Estadio Infinito” they allow us to personalize the narration as much as possible since the image will run from your account.
All of LaLiga on Movistar Plus+
With the new option to change the audio output, they allow us to replace the original audio signal of the Movistar Plus+ broadcast and replace Carlos Martínez and company with the radio narration of SER with «Carrusel Deportivo» or COPE with «Tiempo Game”, for example.
The process is pretty much the same as when you use the official UHD set-top box.
- When you are watching a soccer channel, you will see an icon with a speech bubble located in the lower right part of the Movistar Plus+ interface.
- Click on this icon and you will see that different alternative audio channels appear.
- Select the one that interests you the most.
- Enjoy content with changed audio.
In the use of the app or browser, we will have available the same alternative audios that are in the decoder and that can be up to six different ones (Cadena SER, COPE and local radios or TVs of the teams) depending on the match.
In LaLiga matches, the distribution is usually as follows:
- Real Madrid matches: Cadena SER, Cadena COPE, ambient sound, Real Madrid TV and audio chosen by the other club.
- Barcelona matches: Cadena SER, Catalunya Radio, Cadena COPE, Barça TV and audio chosen by the other club.
- Other games: Cadena SER, Cadena Cope and ambient sound.
For those of the Champions League, on the other hand, depending on which Spanish team plays, you can opt for various audios:
- Matches with Spanish teams: Cadena SER, Cadena COPE, ambient sound, Real Madrid TV (Real Madrid matches) or Catalunya Radio and Barça TV (Barcelona matches).
In case there is an unoccupied audio (for example, because the other club declines to choose one), the main channel will be heard.
Change narration on decoder
As we said, the option to change the audio of the match has been available for some time in the Movistar Plus+ decos. The process is simple. To change the audio of the matches broadcast by Movistar Plus+, what you will have to do is simply the following:

- Take control of your Movistar Plus+ television.
- Press the green button on the controller when you are watching the game.
- You will access the audio menu.
- Choose the option you want for the match audio and click OK.
