AUTOBILD
What are the cars with the lowest consumption that are sold in Spain in 2023? In this list we include the most economical with diesel and gasoline engines.
Selecting the cars with the lowest approved average consumption on the market is easy. It is enough to select the plug-in hybrid cars that spend the least and we would already have this list made.
However, to show you the 20 cars with the lowest consumption that are sold in Spain in 2023, we have preferred to do it among vehicles with traditional diesel and gasoline engines, since we believe that not all of them are willing to face the prices of plug-in hybrids.
This means that off the list are conventional hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and LPG and CNG cars. It is true that some of the models that you will see below are equipped with Mild Hybrid technology that favors consumption and emissions, but since they cannot be driven only in electric mode, we have admitted them within our requirements.
You will also see that there are hardly any SUVs on this list. In fact, there are only compact and utility vehicles, with some saloons, some urban cars and two coupes. In addition, none of the cars with the lowest consumption that are sold in Spain in 2023 exceed the barrier of 4.8 l/100 km, although none manages to drop below 4.0 liters on average.
Therefore, if you are looking for a traditional gasoline or diesel car and you want it to be a true fuel saver, this is the list that you should have on hand (ordered from highest to lowest consumption and prices without discount):
