Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (1973)
Born as a homologation vehicle for Group 4 competition, it is an icon in the history of the sports car that gave luster to both the Carrera surname and the initials RS. From an expected initial print run of 500 units, their demand eventually led Porsche to produce more than 1,500 units.
It was a much improved version of the Carrera S, with an engine whose displacement increased to 2.7 liters and its power up to 210 hp, it used a specific suspension… and it sported a characteristic spoiler at the rear that earned it the name of ‘tail of duck’.
Porsche 911 (930) Turbo Flatnose
The first ‘Flatnose’ were unofficial preparations but, with the popularity they began to gain, Mansour Ojjeh, owner of TAG, proposed the idea of creating them officially to the brand and, once Porsche entered the rag, the first remained. produced unit.
It is a highly valued variant for its distinguished aesthetics, which is inspired by competition models and changed the front, eliminating the retractable headlights to create a much more stylized nose. They have also been revalued for their exclusivity, as only 235 copies were made.
Porsche 911 (993) GT2
Another “first” in the history of Porsche, this time the first time that the 911 bore the surname GT2, back in 1994 and since then it has been synonymous with high performance.
Born to comply with the FIA regulations of having street versions of the competition models, it was lighter than the Carrera, it had more successful aerodynamics, the rear spoiler was stunning and it also mounted a 3.6 six-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine that developed 430 hp of power.
Porsche 911 Dakar
The 911 is a model that, in competition, has always been associated with asphalt, but in the mid-1980s the brand prepared two copies to run in the Paris-Dakar. A beast that, thanks to its improvements (integral traction, longer-travel suspensions, large fuel tanks…), took victory on its debut.
Today, the expectation for this model is even greater since, after showing the Vision Safari prototype, several development mules have been hunted down who anticipate the arrival of a production version that would be the first 911 street “campero”.
Porsche 911 Turbo S (2020)
When it was born, it was presented with the title of the most powerful and fastest Turbo in history, a true example of the lofty level that the Porsche 911 can reach.
It mounts a 3.8 six-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine that delivers 650 hp and 800 Nm, combined with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h. Nothing more to say.
