The BMW R 1300 GS, caught testing in Morocco

A friend of Solo Moto has sent us the following video where you can see a truck transporting four of the new BMW R1300GS 2023.

The specific place is the port of Tangier MED (Morocco), and the video lasts only a few seconds because the Moroccan police prevent our improvised ‘collaborator’ from continuing to record.

However, you can see four GS camouflaged with plastic, with Italian license plates. It can also be seen that the two rear ones have a larger screen than the left front one. We observe a large TFT screen.

The bikes that are visible use tubeless spoked rims. The one on the left has Michelin Anakee mounted, designed for mixed use, while the bike on the right has Pirelli Scorpion Trail II, more asphalt.

Although partially covered by plastic, you can see the new cylinders of the 1300 boxer already fully liquid-cooled (remember that the current 1250 only cools the cylinder heads by this system). This engine no longer has, for the first time, the classic cooling fins, but a generous front radiator.

As we saw in previous spy photos of this bike, the front end has changed dramatically, with a single small ellipsoidal headlight, Ram Air intake, and a radar sensor for Adaptive Cruise Control.

The chassis of this 2023 BMW R1300GS is new, this time made of aluminum instead of steel, as well as the subframe.
