Digi’s aggressive strategy carried out a few days ago, lowering the price of most of its mobile and fiber rates, while increasing gigabytes and megabytes, has created such a sensation in other rivals that two movements are already taking place within of the telecommunications sector. In fact, one of the first responses to counteract the Romanian operator’s customer acquisition has resonated, and, although the proposed initiative is not so forceful, it seems attractive.

In a volatile market where offers are raining in excess and competition is becoming more and more equal, there can only be one winner on the playing field and, for the moment, the results show that each month the one who steals the most users is Digi. The company has become one of the biggest players in the sector, as it has almost reached one million ports so far this year and there are still 3 more months to go until the end of the period.

Coupled with this, the company of Romanian origin has once again brought out its cards with a master move that benefits all its clients: lower prices and improve rates. Even so, the other telephone companies do not give up and also want to be participants in the sales party, putting their best resources on the table to neutralize their opponent.

Suop has been the first to show its head and, although it may turn out to be a somewhat withdrawn proposal, it is undoubtedly a great advance to continue collecting more customer numbers.

The low price rate for a specific audience

Over the last few years, MVNOs have taken over the sector, providing good quality service for a very low price. The low cost calls want to have an appearance and there is no doubt that they are achieving it. In this area, Suop begins to step on the accelerator to catch up with its main opponents.

Specifically, the mobile operator with Orange coverage network has distributed the increase in one of the products aimed at customers who barely consume gigabytes and do not use the telephone for excessively extensive calls. In this way, it wanted to match Digi’s cheapest rate and for 2.99 euros it offers 5 GB of mobile data plus 150 minutes of calls.

Consequently, there have been no other additions or modifications, but practically everything remains the same as before. The call establishment is still 0 euros, the minutes include calls to landlines and mobiles, apart from contracting data bonuses in case you fall short. However, it is a way to warn Digi to be careful, since at some point its portability streak may end up decreasing.

In any case, it is still an insufficient arsenal to challenge the Romanian operator, since today it continues to be one of the preferable options for users to contract a combination of fiber and mobile at the best price. For their part, other virtual companies, such as Simyo and Lowi, are also on the lookout to attract followers, although their cheaper rates raise the price of those of Digi and Suop.
