A compact and versatile minivan
A few days ago, the star brand announced the arrival of a new model to its range, a compact minivan with a capacity of five or seven seats, aimed at families and leisure lovers. Well, the Mercedes T-Class already accepts orders and this is its price.
Built on Renault’s CMF-C platform, the new Mercedes T-Class is now on sale with two engines, one petrol and one diesel, with two power levels each and powers between 95 and 136 hp. Later, there will also be a purely electric variant.
The T-Class combines multifunctionality and a large amount of space with a high level of equipment: from the MBUX infotainment system as standard and the electric parking brake to the optional 17-inch alloy wheels, the Keyless Go system or the lighting environment, among others.

The compact minivan combines reduced exterior dimensions with a great offer of space. The five-seat T-Class is 4,498 millimeters long, 1,859 millimeters wide and 1,811 millimeters high.
Other advantages of the T-Class that make everyday life for families and leisure enthusiasts easier and more comfortable. The 561-millimeter loading lip makes it easy to load heavy objects.
Wide-opening sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle allow easy access to the rear. In this way, children can get up and down quickly and safely in narrow streets and parking spaces.
Three very sensible purchase alternatives to the Mercedes B-Class
Standard equipment includes the MBUX infotainment system with seven-inch touchscreen and smartphone integration, multifunction steering wheel with Touch Control buttons, air conditioning, Keyless Start, dashboard with 5.5-inch color screen and driver’s seat height adjustable.
To this must be added the interior lighting in LED technology and, depending on the equipment, the ambient lighting with up to eight color tones. In addition to the standard finish, two optional lines are available, Style and Progressive, which allow the vehicle to be personalized.
In terms of safety and driving assistance, the new T-Class incorporates elements such as the hill start assistant, the side wind assistant, the drowsiness warning, the active braking assistant with crossover function, the active change detector lane assist, blind spot assist and maximum authorized speed assist.
The Driving Assistance Package is available as an option, which also includes Distronic Active Distance Assist (also available as an individual option) and Active Steering Assist.
Engines and prices
The range of engines of the new Mercedes minivan is articulated by one diesel and one gasoline. The first is a block 1.5 four-cylinder, with 95 or 116 hp and the gasoline corresponds to a 1.3-liter four-cylinder, with 102 or 136 hp. According to versions, the change can be a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT automatic.
It is already possible to place orders for the new Mercedes T-Class and the first units will arrive at dealerships in the middle of next June. Prices start at 28,062 euros in the Class T 160 version, with a 102 hp gasoline engine and manual gearbox.
