Agents of the Civil Guard of Huelva have arrested, in full driving test, the owner of a driving school and two false students. The three were allegedly committing crimes of false documentation and usurpation of marital status. It was not the first time but they had been doing it for a long time, which is why they are also accused of belonging to a criminal organization.

The arrest of these people is the culmination of an investigation initiated two years ago by agents of the Traffic Investigation and Analysis Group (GIAT) of the Traffic Subsector of Huelva, together with the Patrimonial Crime Group of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of Huelva. Huelva.

The investigators then became aware of the existence of a criminal organization, which after falsifying official documents, submitted third parties to the theoretical exam and later to the practical test, who supplanted the true applicants. For this they had the collaboration of a driving school in the town of Puente Genil.

Arrested in full examination

According to what was reported by the Civil Guard, those responsible for the driving school presented the exam applications at the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, but it was not the real students but third parties who impersonated their identity who appeared for the tests.

The arrest occurred while the false students were taking the practical driving test, after having delivered the false documentation to the person in charge of the Traffic Headquarters and to the examiner.

“The forgeries, made by one of the detained impersonators, were of a high quality, which made their detection difficult,” state official sources.

Practical test

The detained teacher had a folder seized, which contained two envelopes with large amounts of cash that he had just collected, as part of the work carried out within the criminal plot.

The investigation remains open. From the Civil Guard they assure that they are going to request the cancellation of the driving licenses obtained fraudulently. Also that the people related to them, as well as third-party collaborators, will be arrested.

When the new Traffic Law comes into force (next March 21), cheating in the driving test will be sanctioned with 500 euros and the prohibition of taking the test again for up to six months. There is also a sanction for those who actively collaborate in the fraud.
