Bayon, Kona, Tucson and Santa Fe accounted for more than 60% of Hyundai’s sales in 2021
That Hyundai is in the sweetest moment of its 30-year history in Spain is a reality that should surprise no one.
With total sales of 57,058 units in 2021, Hyundai managed to be crowned the fifth brand in the ranking in Spain, to which it added a historic milestone: the Hyundai Tucson managed to finish the year as the second best-selling car in Spain, with a total of 21,258 units.
And not only that. The Hyundai Tucson became the best-selling compact SUV in Spain in 2021 at the same time. An unthinkable fact just a few years ago.
Be that as it may, in addition to the Tucson, the good behavior of the other SUVs in the Hyundai range boosted the sales of the Korean brand, and accounted for 62.8% of the total volume of units sold in our country.
In this sense, the breakdown of sales of the Hyundai SUV range in 2021 was as follows: 1. Hyundai Tucson (21,258 units); 2. Hyundai Kona (12,234 units); 3. Hyundai Bayon (1,909 units); and 4. Hyundai Santa Fe (721 units).
And that positive trend seems to be continuing in the first months of the 2022 financial year, since the Hyundai Tucson is already eighth in the total Spanish market with sales of 2,237 units in the accumulated year (January-February 2022).
