They have done it again.
This is the grossest thing you’re going to see today, the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Coupe. And they have done it again. The American company in charge of turning sports cars into beasts presents its new work, a new lighter version focused on the track of the Hennessey Venom F5. The model now boasts better dynamics and higher downforce.
As we said, the new Hennessey Performance sports car is based on the Hennessey Venom F5 Coupe. What sets the Revolution Coupe apart from this other Venom, though, is its aerodynamics, suspension, cooling, and digital telemetry. These sections have been completely reworked to complete a car more suitable for the circuit. Well, weight has also been a vital part of the new project.
Under the skin of this supercar we find Hennessey’s twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 “Fury” engine, in this case with an output of 1,817 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a single-clutch automated gearbox, a transmission that has been calibrated for heavy use on the track. The car sits on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis.
One of its most interesting details is found in the spoiler, which is made of carbon fiber and is mounted on the rear. We are talking about an adjustable system that allows the owner to adjust the angle of attack in a wide variety of degrees, managing to generate more than 363 kg of downforce at 300 km/h and more than 635 kg of downforce at 400 km/h.
