On this occasion, the chosen one has been Mário Vaz, he has a law degree from the University of Lisbon and began his professional career in sales in the IT and consumer electronics sector, including the Spanish company ELBE. Although, it was not until 1992 that he began his career at Vodafone Portugal, becoming its CEO from 2012 to the present.

Therefore, it has previously played this role in the neighboring country. In addition, he has also carried out other commercial roles in the company before his appointment as Director of the Enterprise Business Unit in 1999, and as Director of the Consumer Unit in 2002. And, from this last position, in 2009, He joined the Board of Directors, being appointed CEO of Vodafone Portugal in 2012, a position he will continue to hold until April 1.
