In stores like Amazon, the truth is that the time given to customers for returns is 30 days. However, when the Christmas gift season approaches, the return period changes. How long is there for returns?
One of the days long awaited by many is approaching, especially because some wait until November 29 to do all their Christmas shopping. However, one of the most repeated doubts over the years is the deadline for returns of everything purchased. Is it the same as always?
Each store, company or website has conditions for product returns. So they may vary. Although, under normal conditions, physical stores usually give a period of 30 days for exchanges or returns of products that have been purchased. - Amazon: if you have purchased something between November 1 and January 6, 2025, you have the possibility of returning the product until February 6, 2025.
- El Corte Inglés: 60 calendar days are given for fashion products and sportswear, footwear and accessories. It drops after 30 days on furniture, household goods, home textiles, lighting and Designers fashion products. For watches and jewelry, according to the firm, the period is 30/15 days and for perfumery and cosmetic products; leisure and culture, sports equipment, toys, Christmas items and electrical or mechanical components, 15 calendar days are offered.
- FNAC: usually extends the return period until January for purchases in the month of November.
- Apple: Some products purchased through the Apple Online Store, received between November 8, 2024 and January 6, 2025, can be returned until January 20, 2025.
- PcComponentes: returns are extended until January 15.
- MediaMarkt: up to 60 days to return purchases made in store or online. The return period for orders made from your Marketplace is 30 days from the delivery date.
The novelty in this case is that for Black Friday 2024, Amazon extends returns until February. Almost every year, the store puts the deadline until the end of January. In any case, you must carefully consider the conditions of each store and whether or not the deadline to exchange or return what you buy is extended.
What exceptions are there?
Unless the company has indicated otherwise in the returns policy, the period set by many stores is 14 days (with the possibility of a refund). For this reason, there are stores that set the deadline at 30 days. Although it is something that you should check individually in each store.
