We had been waiting for this moment for several weeks: the premiere in Spanish of what, without a doubt, is the anime of the summer. Because many series and second seasons have been released, but none like the one we are talking about. And that guarantees us that, now, week by week, we will have a new episode to enjoy in our language.

A few weeks ago Crunchyroll confirmed the list of anime this summer that would arrive in Spanish. Although we expected it, the inclusion of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen in the list was something that left us more calm. Because the anime based on the Gege Akutami manga has become one of our favorites.

First episode out now

Crunchyroll announced it on social networks a few hours ago and the good news is that the first episode can already be seen from the well-known streaming platform. It arrives when the fourth chapter of the second season has already been broadcast in Japan, or 29 in general to be more exact if we count all of them.

Therefore, the website dedicated to anime continues to meet its standard of releasing dubbing in Spanish after a month. Although there are exceptions, it is generally the period of time that we usually wait. Now you just have to have a little patience and in no time we will be seeing the episodes that have already been broadcast in Japan with voices in Spanish. The simuldubs continue to meet the forecasts!

A second season that promises

If you’re up to date on all things Jujutsu Kaisen, you’re sure to know that Season 2 is going to be an excellent opportunity to both get a change of scenery and continue to witness some of the most intense moments. This wave of episodes begins by adapting the plot arc that is witnessed in the eighth volume of the manga, which implies that we are going to take a trip back in time.

It is a most interesting beginning because we have the opportunity to see several characters at a time when they were not yet so seasoned as sorcerers. These first episodes serve as a prequel to both the original season that you’ve probably already seen, and the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0.

Once the story arc we have talked about ends, as well as the one from volume 9 of the manga, the season will change airs and go directly to the arc of the Shibuya incident that begins in volume 11. This is one of the most spectacular that have been seen in the manga and one that, on the other hand, is not exactly short. The good news is that the adaptation of this part of the story will begin directly in the sixth episode of the second season, so there will be enough time to tell it properly. In Japanese, that first episode will premiere on August 31, so we will still have to wait a bit to see it in Spanish.

Great dubbing into Spanish

With Kimetsu no Yaiba a great wave of fanaticism and popularity was generated, but the fame that the story of the samurai had faded very quickly. When Jujutsu Kaisen arrived, practically in the wake of Guardians of the Night, we thought it would be another similar case and that it would end in the same way. But, in this case, the license is being squeezed with much more head and it is not being exploited in a drastic way as it happened with the other anime. And the best demonstration of this is the good impact that this second season and its dubbing have generated.

It must be recognized that the dubbing not only maintains the style of the first season, but has improved it. Once again, we can hear the voices of the main cast, such as Carlos Lorenzo in the role of Yuji Itadori, Ángel Luis Martínez as Satoru Gojo or María Luisa Marciel playing Nobara Kugisaki. In addition, in the first episode we have had the opportunity to hear both Cristina Peña, who gives life to Utahime, and the dubbing actress Ana Isabel Rodríguez, who plays the role of Mei Mei.

The voice cast does an excellent job and it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to see a series like this, so popular in Japan and the rest of the world, so well dubbed and with so little to wait for the Japanese release. Now all that remains is to wait to watch each episode weekly and resist the urge to see them before in the original version.
