Microsoft released a couple of days ago, the KB5039302 update for Windows 11, an optional update that any user of this version of Windows can install through the option Get the latest updates as soon as they are available and that will be released publicly to via Windows Update for all Windows 11 users.

This new update was available to all users as an option since it was not a security update. And we say was, because the Redmond-based company has removed it from its servers, so, if you were planning to install it this weekend, you can now forget about it.

Infinite reboots

Microsoft has confirmed that the update KB5039302, which was released on June 26, is causing serious operating problems on some computers, problems in the form of unexpected restarts that render the computer unusable, which is why it has been forced to withdraw it from circulation.

This issue affects Windows 11 22H2 and Windows 11 23H2 managed computers and primarily occurs on computers that manage virtual machines and nested virtualization such as CloudPC, Azure Virtual Desktop, and DevBox.

According to Microsoft in the statement where it announced the withdrawal of this update, it is likely that after installing the KB5039302 update that was released on June 26, it is likely that some computers will not start correctly and will enter a reboot loop showing the usual recovery screen when the computer does not reboot consecutively for 3 times.

Users affected by this problem can only restore their computer to a previous version until Microsoft finds the problem and re-releases this update, which includes the new features shown below.
