To arrive on time we always use Google Maps. But he’s not the only one. There are other websites that allow us to check how much time is left on the bus, what time the metro runs or even where we can catch a tram without using Google. Websites of the cities themselves that allow us to consult this information or to see transport from other cities.

Whether you are going to travel or want to stay in your city but check all the metro and bus lines, these options are recommended.

Citymapper

Probably the best known website for consulting public transport is Citymapper and it works in many cities around the world. In Spain we can check the transport lines of some cities but it is also interesting if you are going to travel and it is compatible in Rome, in New York, in London.

It allows us to calculate the route we want, like Google Maps, but we can also see any schedule for any public transport line or see all the schedules that interest us. We can see the schedules and routes of trains, buses or routes on foot, Uber, taxi, trains, bicycles and much more.

here we go

One of the best websites to use as an alternative to Google Maps is Here WeGo. A website that is available in more than a hundred different countries and in more than a thousand different cities and we can use it from the website, although it also has an application that we can download on Android or iOS at no cost.

The great advantage of this website is the number of cities that we can consult if we need to use it when we are traveling and it has all kinds of tools to consult public transport but also to travel by car or fill up on gas.

From the official website of the city

In Spain we can use the website of each city. You can check all the schedules or bus lines in Malaga on the website of Malaga Transport Company: Bus lines and schedules or those of Seville on the TUSSAM website. TUSSAM: Transport in Seville, lines and schedules. In the case of being in Valencia, you can also see the website of the EMT Valencia to check when your bus arrives or if you live in Galicia you can check the website to find out the Lines and schedules of Tramways of La Coruña.

For example, in Madrid we can consult the section “My bus” from the EMT Madrid page where we can enter the stop number and know how much is left. or in the Madrid Subway It has its own web page with a section that indicates “the network in real time”.

Other cities also have their own website. For example, Barcelona. we can access the TMB website where we can see if the metro lines work well and in which station it is. In total there are more than 162 trains and more than 165 stations and we can see if there are incidents or if they circulate normally.

The same thing happens in Barcelona with buses, which also have their own website where we can see everything about the bus network with real-time information on all the stops or lines there are.
