The landscape of electric cars has changed a lot in recent years. Not so long ago Tesla was owner and lady without any competition, Elon Musk was the master and could look over his shoulder at the other brands that tried. One of the objects of his laugh was BYD cars, but now he has come to terms with that.
As always happens when Musk is involved, the scene of the events has been Twitter, the social network that he owns.
The Tesla Owners Silicon Valley account recalled a few days ago a clip of an interview with the CEO of the company in which he was asked about the Chinese electric car brand. His attitude was clear, since he laughed and, when asked why he was laughing, he answered with a simple: “Have you seen their cars?”
This is one more in the long list of interventions by Musk that generate controversy, but the American has spoken online to correct the position.
In a tweet, he points out that the interview is very old, indicating that it was done in 2011 and implying that in all this time things have changed a lot. Thus, he concludes by stating that “his cars are highly competitive today.”

It is not without reason, since the Chinese automobile industry has evolved remarkably in the last decade, raising its standards considerably to the point of disembarking in markets such as the European ones making a great bet and with wickers to stand up and put traditional brands in distress.
Although there are many that have landed on the Old Continent, BYD is possibly one of the ones that scare its rivals the most, since it raises an ordeal with models that will cover all market segments.
At the moment, five vehicles that are going to arrive in Spain have already been confirmed: BYD Atto 3, BYD Tang, BYD Dolphin, BYD Seal and BYD Han.
