Surprises in the panorama of operators and football in Spain. With LaLiga EA Sports about to start, it has been revealed that there will be a third operator that will give access to all football. The news will probably be received with great interest in view of how eagerly awaited this new football season is.
As of today, the availability of all LaLiga EA Sports football has been limited to Movistar, which is the dominant operator and has the rights, and Orange, with which it has an agreement. It is therefore surprising that, almost in the last hours of the start of the season, the news of a third operator entering the game is published.
MasOrange raises the stakes
We read this information in El Independiente, where the newspaper mentions that they have been able to find out that MasOrange has started a new offer for its operator Jazztel. The objective is to attract customers for this brand and to retain those who already use its service through a winning trick such as LaLiga football, something that is always a highly valuable resource.
According to the newspaper, the offer being made gives access to all football through Orange in combination with the convergent services offered by the operator. The price highlighted in this offer is a total of 87 euros per month including fibre optics, landline and a total of three mobile lines. The mobile lines have unlimited calls and a total of 25GB of data on each one. On paper, this is an offer that follows the direction of what Orange offers, although Jazztel has some aspects to take into account, such as the large number of mobile lines included.
Football on Jazztel
The presence of football on Jazztel is not new. In fact, its customers have already had the opportunity to subscribe to the All Football package from Orange TV on previous occasions. In relation to this, last July the operator announced to its customers that it had proceeded to increase the package in question, which went from costing 39.95 euros per month to 42.95 euros. The three euro increase in price was justified by the television rights of the content included in this subscription and which allows access to the matches of the Spanish league.
At the moment, these offers do not appear on Jazztel’s website and it is possible that they will continue to be offered through direct communication channels with customers or through acquisition channels. You may have come across the proposal discussed by El Independiente, with which Jazztel would be catching up with Orange in terms of prices. They are also in a similar range to Movistar, the owner of the rights to the competition, which has more specialised coverage.
As MasOrange confirmed at the time when the merger between the two companies was completed, football will be of crucial importance in its growth. It is therefore not surprising that Jazztel is rolling out this offer so that Orange’s football package reaches further and so that a greater number of people can enjoy the king of sports through its service.
We still need to know more details about the offer that Jazztel is making, such as the speed they offer on their fibre, and confirm the competitions and matches that can be seen on the operator. In principle, LaLiga EA Sports will be complete, as well as other major Spanish and international football tournaments.
