ING, one of the banks with the greatest presence in our country, would be experiencing connection problems. Social networks and forums have been filled with complaints from customers who claim that they cannot access their accounts through the website or mobile app. We tell you what is happening.

ING, one of the banking institutions with the largest number of users in our country, seems to be experiencing a general drop in its services. Users from all over the country are flooding the bank’s social networks and customer service channels because they have been unable to access their bank accounts since this morning.

At the time of writing, the bank has yet to give any official explanation. And, as we read through X, it seems that it is still not providing any solution to users. The problem is having a greater impact if we take into account the time of the month in which we find ourselves, when the first installment of the 2023 Income is met.

A simple query on X, formerly Twitter, is enough to give us an idea of ​​the dimensions of the problem. A large part of the bank’s users in our country are reporting problems accessing their bank accounts, both through the app itself and through the website.

In some cases, users are reporting that they have been waiting for several minutes for personal information to load. But the application has not presented any type of improvement since the bank’s first clients raised the alarm through social networks.

As you can see in the screenshot above, there are many customers who have been trying to access the app for some time, but it has not worked. The problem is even greater if we take into account that today is the first day in which all those who have tax returns to pay must make the first payment. It is normal for the number of connections to increase in order to check that everything has been done correctly.

No news from ING

At the time of writing this article, and as we have already anticipated, the entity has not contacted its customers nor has it published any information through its usual channels. Therefore, at the moment, the reasons that may have caused this general service outage are unknown. In addition, there is no forecast of when it will be resolved.

As the banking entity publishes some type of information in this regard, we will update this news. In the meantime, we will continue to wait until we see when the service is planned to be restored.

Update 13.20: Just a few minutes ago, ING users have returned to accessing their accounts relatively normally. Although the user experience is still not like what we are used to, we can now log in with our personal data and operate normally. The entity has not made any publication explaining the failure, so it is assumed that it must have been some type of technical failure, but the most important thing is that users have regained normality with their bank accounts.
