MásMóvil continues to add improvements to its rate portfolio. On this occasion, it does so by including free roaming for all customers who travel to the United States and have contracted one of these mobile rates.
Both MásMóvil and Llamaya already offered free roaming in the United States for their contract customers. Now, both brands extend this benefit to their customers with a prepaid mobile line and Grupo MásMóvil confirms that it will also do so in Yoigo and Pepephone soon.
Free roaming for prepaid customers
Traveling outside the European Union or the countries associated with the European Economic Area (EEA) leaves us without service. this means having to face possible shocks on our bill if we need to make calls or send messages, as well as receive them when we travel to one of the countries that are not included in that list. However, both MásMóvil and Llamaya have decided that all customers who have a prepaid line and travel to the US have free roaming.
Since yesterday, the prepaid users of MásMóvil and Llamaya can travel to the US and continue using their mobile line as in Spain. Talking, browsing and sending SMS will not have additional costs. As long as they do so within what is considered reasonable use.
The prepaid rates available in MásMóvil range from 5 euros for 30 days with 150 minutes of calls and 3 GB for browsing to the most complete rate with unlimited calls and 30 GB in exchange for 15 euros/30 days or the possibility of only having data phones with 120 GB for 30 euros/30 days.
On the other hand, Llamaya users have different options in mobile prepaid rates, among which unlimited calls and 30 GB for 15 euros/28 days or the option of only data very similar to that of Más Móvil with 120 GB in exchange. of 30 euros/28 days.
As confirmed by Grupo MásMóvil, its intention is to extend free roaming in the United States to the rest of its brands, including Yoigo and Pepephone, both for contract and prepaid. The lunar operator at this time only offers roaming service exclusively for the use of the Internet, leaving out the voice service.
Vodafone also offers free roaming in the US
Vodafone has offered free roaming in the United States since 2016 for both its contract and prepaid customers, for whom there is no cost to call, send SMS or surf the Internet when traveling to the US.
MásMóvil and Llamaya join the list of operators that offer free roaming in the US for their prepaid customers (contract customers already enjoyed this advantage), so now we have more options if we are thinking of traveling across the pond to destinations such as New York or Los Angeles without having to take the alternative of buying a SIM card at the destination and being able to use our mobile rate just as we do in Spain. Soon it will also reach Yoigo and Pepephone.
