The young Spanish brand has improved the new Cupra Born by adding more equipment and technology to its endowment. These are the main novelties.
It is common for car manufacturers to constantly try to improve their products to keep them up to date with the latest developments. The Cupra Born does not escape these improvements and the young brand has just added more equipment and technology to its wide range to offer a much more complete electric car.
These “state-of-the-art technological innovations”, as defined by Cupra, are mainly focused on the areas of safety and driving assistance. They also add to the recent update of the Cupra Born 2023 that the model received in September of last year, where both the power and the autonomy of the urban electric vehicle were improved.
More equipment and technology for the new Cupra Born
On this occasion, the company has expanded the functions of the Travel Assistant with the Connected Travel Assist 2.5 version. This improvement, in addition to maintaining an automatic speed and guiding the vehicle within its lane, maintaining a safe distance from the preceding vehicle, can now carry out overtaking maneuvers autonomously.
In addition, it also uses online information to learn while it is being used and allows the use of this driving assistance system even on roads where all the lines are not painted on the road.
Another technological improvement implemented is the Intelligent Park Assist system with an enhancement function, which allows the vehicle to memorize up to five different assisted parking manoeuvres.
Cupra explains that the driver only has to park once and save the parking maneuver he performs. Once the route is recorded, the Cupra Born can automatically repeat the learned parking maneuver, performing the necessary maneuvers to park with a travel distance of up to 50 meters at a maximum of 40 km/h.
Finally, the third great novelty that the Cupra Born includes is the Top View Camera, a system that allows the cameras to be used around the vehicle with a 360º degree view, which is ideal for parking maneuvers in narrow parking spaces.
All these technological novelties that the Cupra Born debuts are offered optionally within the Pro (2,000 euros), Top (4,000 euros) and Exclusive (2,800 euros) packages.
