With its classic air and manners that adapt to almost all audiences, the Moto Guzzi V85 TT has become a complete success for the house of Mandello del Lario.

But there are always those who want to go further and to enhance its more off-road side, the Guareschi brothers, well-known trainers of the eagle brand, have conditioned the V85 TT to face all kinds of off-road challenges.

For example, the Moto Guzzi V85 TT «Rally» version that could be seen at the last Milan show, fresh from participating in the Sardinia Rally, still dusty and with the number 167 on its tank or the version that participated in the rally Sestriere HAT, in its Classic category.

In the latter case, the Moto Guzzi V 85 TT prepared by the GCorse workshop (a few months ago we already published another of its preparations for the European Cup Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance, based on a V7) faced the final stretch of the route of 560 km of the HAT Series, overcoming the Colle Dell’Assietta.

Few changes, but effective

To face such a challenge, the Guareschi decided to equip the Moto Guzzi V85 TT «Rally» with a rear aluminum subframe of their own harvest, in addition to adding a series of elements that enhanced its more feral.

Among the off accessories, a carbon engine protector stands out, a more decatalyst exhaust set from the Italian brand Zard, additional LED lights and footwear adapted to the demands of the test, in this case Pirelli Scorpion Rally.

Probably, the key piece of this whole pack is the UpMap control unit, in charge of reprogramming the original ECU of the V 85TT. Thanks to this T800+ interface device, which is connected via the supplied OBD cable to the motorcycle’s diagnostic socket and by downloading the UpMap application on an iOS or Android smartphone, in a few simple steps the character of the motorcycle can be reconfigured. transverse twin.

This set of components, called the Sahara Kit, will soon be available for all those who wish to take their Moto Guzzi V85 TT «Rally» one step further.
