Subscribers to the operator’s satellite television receive new channels in high definition. It is not usual, but Movistar Plus+ has up to three HD dials for the Astra 1L satellite. In this way, the current satellite TV programming of the Spanish operator is expanded. But, it is important to know closely what exactly these new channels are and what content they offer.
Movistar Plus+, specifically its satellite television, has up to three new channels available in HD resolution. During this last year, the truth is that the movements of this operator’s TV service have not favored its customers. Especially since it has lost a number of channels. However, now subscribers receive good news: the arrival of new channels.
More channels through Astra
Anyone who subscribes to Movistar Plus+ TV and enjoys this television service through the Astra satellite at home is in luck, at least in a certain way. And all because, despite the different changes on the platform, such as the fact that several channels disappear or stop broadcasting in HD, they now receive three new dials in high definition.
These are three CGTN channels: CGTN Documentary, CGTN English and CGTN Français. These three new dials that land in the operator’s catalog can be enjoyed in HD (high definition). So it is a plus that must be taken into account. In addition, these channels join the one already available: CGTN Español.
The CGTN Spanish channel is within the dial offering of the company China Global Television Network (CGTN), which belongs to the state company China Central Television (CCTV). In this case, it is a channel that can be seen through dial 141 of the television platform, and is available to both fiber/ADSL subscribers and satellite clients. In addition, it offers different content: news, documentaries and soap operas.
However, as for the three new channels, you can expect the following:
- CGTN Documentary: is located on dial 142 of Movistar Plus+ television. Through this channel you can watch documentaries about different places and also about the customs of the Asian country, although it must be taken into account that the audio is in English. This channel is in the testing phase to be added as a new channel for the operator’s fiber/ADSL subscribers.
- CGTN English: dial 143 of the Movistar platform (it is the English version of the CGNT channel).
- CGTN Français: dial 144 of the operator’s TV (it is the French version of the channel that is already available in Spanish).
Among other details of these channels, it must be taken into account that they are broadcast openly on the 11.377V frequency of the Astra 1L satellite, which is located at position 19.2º E (it has been this way since the end of August). However, they have now been officially introduced on the blue operator’s satellite television.
