If you are one of those who had completely ruled out subscribing to SkyShowtime, either because you were not convinced by its price or you did not see interesting movies in its catalog, you should know that the new offer announced for this July may be the best time to give it a try.

The streaming platform SkyShowtime announced this Wednesday a new collaboration agreement with Prime Video in four European countries, including Spain. Starting July 1, users will be able to contract SkyShowtime from their Amazon Prime Video account as a channel within the Amazon platform, at a cost of 7.99 euros per month, a price equivalent to the Standard Plus plan (without ads) that can be contracted from the same platform. However, until July 17, users who sign up from Prime Video will be able to receive a 50% discount for the first three months.

This offer is part of the weeks around Prime Day, Amazon’s event in which it offers discounts on numerous products. In addition to Spain, the same integration will be available in the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden, although it seems that the three-month discount offer will be exclusive to Spain.

This news was already expected, as it was known a few days before that the SkyShowtime application had been integrated with the Fire TV app store so that those who have this Amazon television device can access the platform comfortably. In parallel, SkyShowtime is available through the SkyShowtime app on Apple iOS, tvOS, Android devices, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG connected TVs, Samsung smart TVs and through its website.

SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan comments on this union: “We are excited to partner with Amazon and make SkyShowtime available through Prime Video. “This agreement allows us to expand our reach in some of our key markets, giving Amazon customers access to our exclusive series, blockbuster movies and local original programming.”
