Although Movistar Plus+ revealed its July releases a few days ago, the platform wanted to get ahead of itself in order to surprise its users by announcing some of the new releases that will arrive in August. This puts us in the right position to enjoy a high-level summer from which all the operator’s customers and their television service will be able to make the most of.

First of all, as we told you yesterday, the Romantic Comedy channel on M+, which is coming in July, will remain on the platform until August 18. And since 18 is the magic number, it can be seen on channel 18. But that’s just the beginning, since, as we told you now, Movistar Plus+ has already revealed some of its premieres for August.

Movie premieres in August

For now, there are two films announced to make August a more fun month on Movistar Plus+. One of them is Anyone But You, which will be released on August 9. In this film starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney, director Will Glück takes the lead in a romantic comedy that follows the foundations of the great classics of the genre. This film was released in Spanish cinemas on January 19, 2024, so its arrival on the platform is highly anticipated by those who were unable to see it.

A few days later, on August 13, the film Las audaces, starring Nilam Faroq, Silvana Synovia and Anatole Taubman, will be released on Movistar Plus+. It is a neo-noir thriller reminiscent of classics of the genre such as Thelma and Louise or Drive, and in which two girls with very different profiles will have to flee together from great dangers.

Other releases

Although Movistar Plus+ has not yet revealed all its cards for the month of August, it has announced that, from the 6th, the series Sangre y dinero will be available to watch. This production will become the star of Tuesdays, the day on which two new episodes will be released each week. The series is based on a book written by Fabrice Arfi, a journalist who described in his work what happened in what is considered the biggest scam that has ever occurred in France.

This story, which saw how a group of criminals made off with a loot of no more and no less than 5,000 million euros, stars the actor Vincent Lindon. Along with him, who is in charge of giving life to the police officer investigating the robbery, other interpreters appear such as Olga Kurylenko and Niels Schneider. Leading the series are both Frederic Planchon and Xavier Giannoli.

Along with this, Movistar’s television platform continues to reinforce its commitment to documentaries. Like every month, the service is going to have an important series of new documentaries with which to please users. Some of the new releases for August will include titles like Joan Baez. I Am a Noise, Glastonbury 2024, Action or Concorde: The Untold Story, among many others that, we assume, will be announced in the coming weeks.

With these new features, Movistar Plus+ continues to improve its proposal for all users who contract its platform and television service, either from the operator itself or independently with a rate starting at 9.99 euros. As usual, if any other important content is announced for August, we will be ready to let you know and, in any case, at the end of July they will surely tell us all their news for the following month. It’s going to be a summer of great premieres!
