Check out the free titles that PlayStation is giving away to its Plus plan users this July. If you’re interested in any of them, don’t forget to download them before the deadline.
As usual, PlayStation has already announced which free games can be downloaded by subscribers of its different PlayStation Plus plans: Essential, Extra or Premium. This is a unique opportunity to get games without paying anything and, being July, to play for long hours all summer long. Although in May PlayStation applied a 100% discount to 4 titles, among which were EA SPORTS FC 24 and Destiny 2, the three free games that the platform is giving away this month are also interesting.
All three games are free to play regardless of the type of plan you’re on, and all are available on both PS5 and PS4.
Among Us
Originally released in 2018, Among Us was one of the most common games in the streams carried out during the pandemic. It is a tremendously popular game, which passed through the YouTube and Twitch channels of the main creators on the planet, with a simple but addictive mechanic in which a group of people has to find an infiltrator. It has an air of the classic assassin game in the Spanish Deck, but set in a spaceship. Its multiplayer includes PlayStation, smartphone, PC and other console users, and supports up to 15 players online with whom to team up and manage to restore the deteriorated ship without falling prey to the infiltrators.
It has a regular price of 3.99 euros in the PS store.
Borderlands 3
It’s probably the most appealing of the three games being offered for free by PlayStation Plus this July. For PS4 and PS5, Borderlands 3 is an epic first-person shooter-looter in which, in a chaotic and colourful galactic environment, players will have to face villains while collecting a multitude of rewards. Released in 2020, Borderlands 3 is a much-loved title (4.53 stars out of 5) that usually costs €69.99, so being able to get it for free is no small feat.
You can play online with up to 3 friends and discover new worlds with one of the four new camera seekers. It is a mischievous game not recommended for under 18s, in which you can have fun without any complexes in new spaces to explore.
NHL 24
PlayStation didn’t want to leave sports fans wanting more. With NHL 24, PS5 users will be able to experience an unparalleled ice hockey experience. Its regular price is no less than €79.99 for PS5 (€10 less for PS4), so adding up the three games, we’d save more than €100 thanks to this temporary offer. However, its ratings aren’t very good: it only has 2.8 stars out of 5 on PS.
Created by EA Play, this is a reference game for fans of this ice discipline, in which the user will be part of the American NHL league with real characters and various game modes, in the style of FIFA. Please note that the main language of the game is English, and according to its information, the screens are not available in Spanish.
