The McLaren team has released its new single-seater, the McLaren MCL60, on the track this week. Lando Norris has taken the wheel of the F1 with which he will compete this season in a shakedown that has taken place at the Bahrain Circuit, the same place where the pre-season tests are held.
Just before the start of winter training, the historic British team, which celebrates 60 years of history in 2023 and for this reason its new car bears the name MCL60, wanted to check that everything works correctly in the car with the aim of not bumping into each other. with mechanical mishaps.
Likewise, Lando Norris and the rest of the team were able to accumulate some experience thanks to the first kilometers with the McLaren MCL60, which are also very useful in order to begin the development of a car with which they want to fight again to be the first. from the rest of the grid: last year, without going any further, they lost that battle against Alpine, who was the fourth team.
In addition to Norris, this year the Australian Oscar Piastri will compete for McLaren, making his debut with the Woking formation to replace Daniel Ricciardo, who left the team after two very difficult seasons as a McLaren F1 driver… despite the fact that he even managed to a victory.
