In recent days we have witnessed a real price war for cheap fiber, especially with promotions for the speed of 300 Mbps. To try to have a better picture of the current state of the telecommunications market, we put them face to face to see which is more profitable if you were going to contract fiber for going back to school or teleworking after vacation.

We are going to review the current state of the market and which operators offer more for less after this price war that we have witnessed in recent days.

cheap fiber 30 euros or less

Vodafone 300 Mbps fiber

Vodafone presents a reduction in the price of its 300 Mbps Vodafone Yu fiber rate, which until now had a monthly cost of 27 euros. Until next August 31, only for online contracts, you will have a discount of 7 euros for which you can have this rate for only 20 euros.

Vodafone discount promo

The discount is applied directly to the recruitment page, where you can check the coverage of the service and see if it reaches your home (the estimate is that Vodafone’s fiber reaches 99% of homes). In the event that you do not see the promotional price of 20 euros directly in the subtotal, you can use the discount code DDFBY in the cart.

The product does not have a registration fee, and in the event that the fiber is self-installable, there is no cost. If, on the contrary, the client requires installation by a technician, a charge of 50 euros will be charged on the first invoice. Usually, this rate does not have permanence. However, if you take advantage of the promotion to get a lower price, you will have to stay for a year. In addition, this Vodafone fiber rate includes a landline with unlimited calls to national landlines and mobiles.

  • Vodafone Yu fiber with landline, unlimited calls to landline and mobile and 12 months of permanence for 20 euros per month. With this promotional price it is even cheaper than Lowi (24.95 euros per month).

Digi continues with low prices

Although Digi has not presented a reduction in its prices in recent days, these were already low enough to be taken into account when reviewing fiber-only rates. Specifically, the operator of Romanian origin offers more speed for less money.

Depending on the geographical area in which we live, we will be able to enjoy its SMART fiber cheaper than the fiber from which we can benefit throughout the national territory, served by Movistar. Therefore, we are going to see all the cheap fiber options of the low-cost operator, taking into account that in its own fiber the minimum speed is 500 Mbps.

Digi fiber only rates

  • SMART fiber 500 Mbps for 15 euros per month.
  • Fiber 300 Mbps (from Movistar) for 25 euros per month.

Digi’s own fiber has undergone enormous expansion since its origin in the Community of Madrid. Today you can find it in 35 provinces: Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Vizcaya, La Rioja, Asturias, Almería, Seville, Valencia, Castellón, Valladolid, Granada, Toledo, Murcia, Cuenca, La Coruña, Alicante, Málaga, Badajoz, Tarragona, Huelva, Guadalajara, Ciudad Real, Albacete, Cantabria, Córdoba, Álava, Cádiz, León, Pontevedra, Jaén, Navarra, Huesca, Guipúzcoa and Salamanca.

Movistar fiber for 19.95 euros

In Movistar they have decided to throw the house out the window. It is one of the networks with more national coverage, one of the most reliable and sometimes only the price is a problem for the user. To counteract this, Movistar has also decided to recover the cheap fiber rate for those who do not need a high connection speed.

This is a temporary promotion until August 31 for new contracts that will have a promotional price for 12 months, paying 19.90 euros per invoice instead of 29.90 euros per month.

300 Mbps fiber promo

To enjoy this 33% discount you must make the online recruitment. In addition to the fiber network, this rate includes a fixed line with unlimited calls to national landlines, 50 monthly minutes per month of calls to national mobiles, Smart WiFi router included and free installation.

This promotion is only available in areas where there is operator coverage in the so-called free or unregulated zone (some municipality where the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) identifies that there is effective competition between Fiber operators. You can consult the list update of these municipalities in https://www.movistar.es/zc).

  • Fiber 300 Mbps for 19.95 euros per month for 12 months. With this price it far exceeds that of O2 (27 euros per month for 300 Mbps).

Limited time offers at Jazztel

Jazztel has also wanted to be part of this price war in recent days. That is why they have launched a couple of promotions with which you can contract 300 Mbps or 1 Gbps fiber with a 6 euro discount on the price of each monthly bill. Final price, forever.

Jazztel Flash Offer

The 300 Mbps fiber rate + fixed line in which you only pay for what you talk is now at a final price of 22.95 euros/month (previously 28.95 euros). In the event that you want to stop worrying about what you are talking about, this same speed of symmetrical fiber with unlimited calls from landline to landline and mobile remains at 25.95 euros per month (previously 31.95 euros). In this case, it is a flash offer that will end on August 27 at 9:00 a.m. (Spanish peninsular time).

  • Fiber 300 Mbps for 22.95 euros per month.
  • Fiber 300 Mbps + unlimited calls from the landline for 25.95 euros per month.

PTV Telecom is the covert

PTV Telecom has just switched from G-PON to XGS-PON, so the best quality of fiber will mean that we get better value for money in the monthly cost of its rates.

PTV Telecom fiber rates

Upgrading to XGS-PON now allows the operator to offer at least a minimum speed of 1 Gbps on the most basic fiber-only rate. This has a cost of 19.95 euros. For its part, it also has a 2 Gbps option for 24.95 euros.

  • Fiber 1 Gbps for 19.95 euros per month.
  • Fiber 2 Gbps for 24.95 euros per month.
