Lovers of racing and futuristic environments, as well as fans of the Dungeons and Dragons saga, have a mandatory stop at the Epic store this week.

The Epic Games store, developer of Fortnite, once again renews its section of free games available for download. Until June 20 at 5 p.m., gamers will be able to enjoy this temporary opportunity to get the following free titles: an exclusive pack of Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, and Redout II, both for Windows PC. They are two titles that are quite different from each other, so that different types of players can appreciate the offer.

Idle Champions

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is a strategy game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, with a multitude of characters with which to face enemies and evil creatures. In addition, the base game includes, at no additional cost, an exclusive pack valued, according to Epic Games, at more than $100. It is the ‘Duke Guardacorvus Prestigious Champions’ package, which includes the following new features:

  • 5 new champions
  • An exclusive look
  • An exclusive family
  • Chests of Thellora, Briv, Faride, Wyll and Duke Guardacorvus
  • Two-week-long power-up potions

The game was released in 2021 by Codename Entertainment. According to the ratings of Epic Games affiliates, it is an ideal title for beginners, with a very powerful character section and relaxing qualities. To play it, Windows 10 with 8 GB of RAM is recommended, although it should also work for Windows 7. The installation takes up 3 GB of storage.

Redout 2

It is a racing game set in a future universe, where ships levitate in the air and the rules of gravity are a thing of the past. Released in 2022 and developed by 34BigThings, Redout 2 is a “tribute to the classic racing arcades and the sequel to the acclaimed Redout”, as indicated by Epic. Focused on antigravity racing, the game has two interesting modes to play it with: trajectory mode, with 36 unique and reversible tracks, or competitive multiplayer, with races for up to 12 players.

Players can fully customize their ships, and enjoy a great electronic and futuristic soundtrack while driving. The game has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 in the Epic store, and its users rate it as a great tribute to titles like F-Zero or Wipeout. Normally, the game is priced at 19.99 euros. To play, you need Windows 10 with RAM of at least 4 GB, as well as a GeForce GTX or RTX graphics card.

From June 20 to 27

We also already know the games that will be available for free download in the week of June 20 to 27. These are Freshly Frosted and Rumble Club. Freshly Frosted is a puzzle game not for those with a sweet tooth: it is set in a delicious donut factory, and the player will have to solve problems in the chain by adjusting all kinds of gadgets, such as pushers, fusions and cloners, randomizers or teleporters. It is for Windows, and under normal conditions it has a price of 7.99 euros.

The other title is not exactly a video game, but a kind of Rumble Club minigame with which players, upon completing it, can earn exclusive rewards for the Epic store: 1,000 gold coins and 200 gems. You can enter the Epic store from this link and scroll down to the ‘Free Games’ section.
