Back to school: the pre-season tests begin.

Day 1 of the F1 Tests 2023. The time has come. After more than two months without seeing the Formula 1 cars roll, the pre-season tests begin at the Bahrain Circuit. It will be the first of three intense days, where the drivers and teams will have to prepare a long course of 23 races. Alonso and Sainz debut.

The start of the pre-season tests marks the beginning of a new era in Fernando Alonso’s sports career, as the Asturian driver begins his new adventure with the Aston Martin F1 team, for which he will drive for the next two seasons (2023 and 2024). Fernando will have extra work in these tests, since his teammate, Lance Stroll, is out due to injury.

As for the other Spaniard in Formula 1, Carlos Sainz, he is facing his third season with the Ferrari team. After a very difficult 2022 in which he had difficulties adapting to the new technical regulations, the goal of the man from Madrid is none other than to recover the form of 2021, when he even managed to beat Charles Leclerc.

There are many eyes on Max Verstappen and Red Bull, since they are defending the crown for the second year in a row, and also on the Mercedes W14 with which Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will compete, since they aspire to be rivals of both the energy drink team and from Ferrari for leading the grid.

Over the next few days, from Thursday to Saturday, we will see the technical innovations that the teams are working on at the Bahrain Circuit to surprise this year. Stay tuned to Autobild.es, where we will tell you everything.
